Day 2 / Baku sightseeing tour

A sightseeing tour of Baku includes visits to the following historic sites: Icheri Scherer, Virgin Tower, Palace of Shirvanshahs, Caravanserai, Nizami Street, Fountain Square We will start the tour with an illustrated restored Icheri Sheher - the old town of Bakir, where we will carefully consider its symbols: the Virgin's Tower from the 12th century, the Shirvanshah Palace and the caravanserai. Day 3 / Ateshgah - Yanardag - Gala
After we visit the Carpet Museum, where you can meet old Azerbaijani ornaments on carpets and find out how they did it. Return to the hotel. Free time. Overnight in Baku.
Day 4 / Jeep safari in tour to Gobustan
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Gobustan - a place with prehistoric cave paintings, documenting the lives of former residents of this area. The reserve is located about 60 km south-west of Baku and is located in a rocky area with a semi-desert climate. The reserve is famous for its numerous petroglyphs from the Stone Age and beyond. Near the reserve is a large number of mud volcanoes, and an estimated 300 of the 700 existing in the world are located in eastern Azerbaijan. These are trenches located about 10 km south of the petroglyphs area, which emit bubbles of dirt and gas. In 2007, UNESCO declared as a World Heritage Site an area of 5,370 dunums. Mud Volcanoes There are 850 mud volcanoes in the world, and more than 300 of them are in Azerbaijan. Due to its effectiveness in balneological therapy, volcanic mud is used in the treatment of disorders of the central and peripheral nervous system, diseases of the skin and digestive organs, gynecology and cosmetology. Gaval Dash is a stone that creates a tambourine-like sound when it hits at different moments. Among the stone books there is a large flat stone formed from 3 pillars. It is enough to touch the object with a small stone, from which musical sounds emanate. Gaval Dash was formed through a combination of a unique climate, oil and gas, which can be found in the region of Azerbaijan. Transfer to Baku Railway Station to departure to Tbilisi. Day 5 / Tour Tbilisi-Mtskheta
Meeting at the train station. Transfer to the hotel in Tbilisi or nearby. Check in, breakfast on arrival at the restaurant. Sightseeing tour of the capital: Narikala fortress and Metekhi church with panoramic views of Old Tbilisi, ancient churches Anchiskhati and Sioni, district of dry baths of “Abanotubani” district, famous name of Chardin street after the French missionary, merchant bridge, Holy Trinity Cathedral, Freedom Square, Pantheon on Mount Mtatsminda and many other sights ... Start driving to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia. You will visit two UNESCO World Heritage sites located in this small town. The first stop is Javari Monastery, dating back to the 6th century AD. Standing on top of a hill, he goes to the city of Mtskheta and the confluence of two rivers Aragvi and Mtkvari. After visiting the monastery, move out and walk to the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, which is one of the most sacred places in all of Georgia, and, it is said, Christ's robe is preserved in it. Day 6 / Kazbegi
Breakfast in the hotel Departure to Kazbegi. On the way, you will have the opportunity to visit: Ananuri Architectural Complex and the Jinval Reservoir on the Georgian military highway - just an hour without stopping from Tbilisi, you must plunge into the harmony of this beauty. We stop to see the Ananuri Architectural Complex - a fortified ensemble dating from the XVII century, located on the left bank of the Aragvi River, in a magnificent setting on the very bank of the Dzhinvali reservoir. This architectural complex has witnessed several serious battles throughout its history. Arrival in Kazbegi. Mount Kazbegi This is the third highest mountain in Georgia and the seventh highest peak in the Caucasus Mountains. The summit lies directly to the west of the city of Stepantsminda and is the most visible geographical feature of this area. Mt Kazbek is the highest peak in Eastern Georgia. Return to Tbilisi in the late evening. Overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 7 / Sarajishvili Winery
Breakfast in the hotel Today we will visit the Sarajishvili brandy factory - the first brandy factory in the Caucasus, founded by businessman David Sarajishvili in 1884. We will visit the factory and tasting brandy. (Tasting - Optional) The history of production of Georgian wine brandy, which currently also functions as a historical museum, began at the plant of Sarajishvili. Walking through the old parks and ancient reserves and exploring the sweet aroma of cognac, you can completely forget about the present time and immerse yourself in the atmosphere where the production of Georgian wine brandy made the first steps.
