Day 1 / Arrival to Tbilisi

Meeting at the airport. Transfer to a hotel in Baku or close by. Check-in, overnight at the hotel

Day 2 / Tbilisi city tour

Breakfast at the Hotel Sightseeing tour around the capital: Narikala Fortress and Metekhi church with panoramic views on Old Tbilisi, ancient churches of Anchiskhati and Sioni, Sulphur Baths district “Abanotubani”, famous Chardin street name after a French Missioner, Piece Bridge, Holy Trinity Cathedral, Freedom Square, Pantheon on Mtatsminda Mount and many others places of interest... We’ll start the tour from Metekhi church ( XIII c.) and Isani neighborhood which was a Royal residence in the middle ages. It’s a perfect place to enjoy magnificent views of old city. Then we’ll take a cable car to mother fortress of Tbilisi - Narikala (VI c.) one of the first constructions in the city. From Narikala fortress you can see the whole city and enjoy crawling on the walls of the fortress. After we’ll take a walk down to see the Sulphur Bath district and unique mosque, where Shia and Sunni Muslims pray together. Then move on towards the Chardeen and other narrow cozy streets of old city. On the way we’ll see Sioni cathedral (XI c.) Anchiskhati Church (VI c.) Gabriadze puppet theatre etc. Transfer Back to Hotel Overnight In Tbilisi

Day 3 / Mskheta and Kazbegi tour

Breakfast at the hotel Start driving to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia. You’ll visit two UNESCO World Heritage sites located in this small town. First stop is Jvari Monastery dating back to 6th century AD. Standing on the top of the hill, it overlooks the town of Mtskheta and the confluence of two rivers Aragvi and Mtkvari. After visiting the monastery drive down and reach Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, which is one of the most sacred places in whole Georgia, and is said to have Christ’s robe preserved in it. Departure to Kazbegi. On the way you will have posibility to visit:Ananuri Architectural Complex and Jinvali Water Reservoir via Georgian Military Highway – only an hour non-stop drive from Tbilisi is needed to dive into harmony of this beauty. We make a stop to see Ananuri Architectural Complex - fortified ensemble, dating from the XVII century, is located on the left bank of river Aragvi, in a magnificent setting at the very shore of Jinvali Water Reservoir. This architectural complex has witnessed several serious battles throughout its history. Arrival to Kazbegi. Mount Kazbegi It is the third highest mountain in Georgia and the seventh highest peak in the Caucasus Mountains. The summit lies directly to the west of the town of Stepantsminda and is the most prominent geographic feature of the area. Mt. Kazbek is the highest peak of Eastern Georgia. Back to Tbilisi in the late evening hours. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 4 / Tbilisi-Logadekhi-Sheki

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we will departure to Georgia – Azerbaijan border Logadekhi. Transfer to Shaki. Shaki city sightseeing tour Historical sides of Shaki – Khan’s Palace, Carawanserai, Kish Albanian church, Silk shop, Halva shop The Palace of Shaki Khans was a summer residence for the Shaki Khans. Day 5 / Sheki – Gabala – Baku

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we will depart to Gabala. Gabala was the ancient capital of Caucasian Albania. Archeological evidence indicates that the city functioned as the capital of Caucasian Albania as early as 4th century BC. The Ruins of the ancient town are situated 15 km from the regional center, allocated on the territory between Garachay and Jourluchay rivers. Gabala was located in the middle of the 2,500-year-old Silk Road, and was mentioned by Pliny the Younger as "Kabalaka", Greek geographer Ptolemy as "Khabala", Arabic historian Ahmad ibn Yahya al-Baladhuri as "Khazar". In the 19th century, the Azerbaijani historian Abbasgulu Bakikhanov mentioned in his book Gulistani Irem that Kbala or Khabala were in fact Gabala. In Gabala we will visit Old Capital of Albania – Chuxur Gabala. Then we will go to Nohur Lake. The lake is surrounded by a forest, you can walk around the lake. Here you can relax, even sail boat on the lake. Tour to Tufandagh - longest teleferic of the world. Whether for skiing, or just for memorable summer views of the Alpine scenery behind Qabala, jump aboard the Tufandag network of four cable cars. Day 6/ Baku City tour/ Ateshgah – Yanardagh – Yanardagh

Sightseeing tour around Baku includes the visits to the following historical sites: Icheri Sherer, Virgin Tower, Palace of the Shirvanshahs, Caravanserai, Nizami Street, Fountains Square We will start the tour with exemplified restored Iczeri Szeher - the Bakir Old Town, where we will take a close look at its symbols: the Virgin's Tower from the 12th century, the Shirvanshah Palace and the Karawanseraj. We will see from the hill the panorama of the city amphitheater located in the bay with the Prospekt Neftchiler, a promenade stretching along the coast. We will go through the dazzling street of Nizami, and enjoy the Fountain Square. After we will visit Carpet museum where you can meet old Azerbaijan ornaments on the carpets and find out how they made. Next station will be Yanar Dag – 116-meter hill located on top of a pocket of natural gas that constantly erupts into flames. These flames jet out at least three meters into the air, through a porous layer of sandstone. Unlike the other mud volcanoes of Azerbaijan, Yanar Dag has no seepage of mud or liquid, so the fire always burns. Then we will visit the Temple of Eternal Fire - Ateshgah - is an authentic Azerbaijani exotic. It is well-known practically all over the world. It is located 30 km from the center of Baku in the suburb of Surakhany. This territory is known for such unique natural phenomenon as burning natural gas outlets (underground gas coming onto surface contacts oxygen and lights up). The temple in its present state was constructed in the 17th-18th centuries. It was built by the Baku-based Hindu community related to Sikhs.However, the history of the Temple is even longer. From times immemorial this was the holy place of Zoroastrians- fire worshippers (approximately beginning of our era). They attributed mystical significance to the inextinguishable fire and came there to worship the relic.The final station is Gala – Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum Complex in the open air to preserve the monuments in the territory of the Gala State History and Ethnography Museum and enrich the Preserve by bringing in archaeological finds discovered in Absheron. Petroglyphs covering the period from the 3rd and 2nd millennia B.C. to the Middle Ages, gavaldash (tambourine stone), ceramics, domestic and adornment items, weapons and coins, conserved remnants of an ancient residential complex etc. found in the Absheron peninsula were placed at the Complex. Back to the hotel. Free time. Overnight in Baku.

Day 7 / Qobustan jeep safari tour

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Gobustan – the place with prehistoric rock carvings documenting the life of the former inhabitants of this area. The reserve is about 60 km southwest of Baku and is located in a rocky area with a semi-desert climate. The reserve is known for its many petroglyphs from the Stone Age and after. Near the reserve there are a large number of volcanoes of mud, and it is estimated that out of 700 existing in the world, 300 are located in eastern Azerbaijan. These are trenches located about 10 km south of the Petroglyphs area, which emit bubbling mud and gas. In 2007 UNESCO declared an area of 5,370 dunams in the reserve as a World Heritage Site. Mud volcanoes There are 850 mud volcanoes in the world, and over 300 of them are in Azerbaijan. Thanks to its efficacy in balneal therapy, volcanic mud is used in the treatment of disorders of the central and peripheral nervous system, diseases of the skin and digestive tract, gynaecology and cosmetology. Gaval Dash – the stone, which makes a tambourine-like sound when it is hit in different points. Among the stone books there are a big flat stone formed out of 3 supports. Suffice it to touch the object with a small stone, musical sounds come from it. The Gaval Dash have been formed due the combination of unique climate, oil and gas which can be found in the region of Azerbaijan. Back to the hotel. Free time. Overnight in Baku.
